Distant Shores
Standing tall on distant shores,
dreaming dreams of years of yore.
Wondering still,
if beings will,
ponder the history
of those who walked before,
of those who fought,
of those lives long lost,
that we might live in grace,
linked by miles
of liquid undulating space,
moving sand from place to place,
uniting years of yore,
to current time and space
from distant shores to my current space.
